VRPS E-Update: Vol 17 No 22
A Message from the President
To our VRPS Members:
Thursday, 5/21, we held the first virtual Spring Directors Forum, sponsored by Bliss Products and Services. Typically, this is a yearly function held at the Annual Conference but given the current situation, Directors needed to collaborate on how other localities are operating and planning on re-opening.
We had 54 participants involved in a very informative conversation. Members can watch the Zoom recording by clicking the link below. We are looking to offer this forum again in the virtual format during the Summer and Fall.

|2020 VRPS Awards Application Final Deadline EXTENDED
The deadline for the Awards submissions will be moved to July 15th, 2020. We know many agencies have had staff working offsite or on a limited basis and feel this would give everyone a little more time to get their submissions in for all of their great work and people that made 2019 so wonderful. As always, if you have any questions regarding your submissions, please do not hesitate to contact your Service Area or Specialty Resource Group Committee Representative or the Chair. We look forward to seeing your submissions!

COVID-19 Parks and Recreation Services Tracker
As parks and recreation professionals, many of us are making the difficult staffing impacts and decisions of what services and amenitites we can continue to provide to the public. The Park Operations Resource Group has created a central spreadsheet to track the service impacts to various communities. A link to the spreadsheet can be found on the Park Operations Resource Group webpage
. The spreadsheet relies on input provided by everyone, so if you use it for information, please add yours for others to use.
For questions or technical issues, please contact Alister Perkinson at 757-207-0002.
