What to Expect at LTI
Leadership Training Institute (LTI) is a premiere program for leadership development for professionals in the parks & recreation field. It is an exclusive opportunity to expand their awareness, involvement, and potential for growth. This 2.5 day program is designed to enhance the talents of, and renew a sense of commitment among current and emerging leaders in the field.
LTI is located at the Wintergreen Resort which is on top of a mountain. Attendees are encouraged to carpool throughout the weekend and are cautioned of steep and curvy rural roads as well as the changeable weather conditions. The LTI experience is focused on promoting networking throughout the weekend. You will be housed in smoke free coed homes with the intention of networking, group interaction, and teamwork. The retreat-style housing includes a roommate of the same sex and a shared bathroom with roommate and/or hall mates (generally of the same sex). Attendance at all education, social, and house activities are mandatory during the weekend.

The networking that goes on at LTI is second to none. While VRPS annual conference is a great resource for networking, while at LTI, you are in isolation for days with only the LTI conference members to connect with.
