In the Know...

2019 Summer Survival Training

We are seeking dynamic, motivating speakers to provide a unique learning experience that training delegates won’t find anywhere else. Our training theme this year is “Level Up”, a reference to gaining more knowledge to level up your skill set. Help share your knowledge and experience to new professionals starting out with their first summer camp.

The training participants will be Parks & Recreation new professionals and students from across Hampton Roads.

Included in this packet you will find:

1) A list of guidelines and standards for speakers

2) A list of potential sessions to jump start the process of choosing a topic

3) The Education Session Proposal Form that must be completed for each proposed session

If you are interested in speaking at the training, please submit a completed Education Session Proposal Form no later than May 3, 2019 to…

Roberto Ramos @ rramos@vbgov.com

OR fax the completed Session Proposal Form to:  Roberto Ramos @ 757-430-7402

Speakers whose proposals that add quality and diversity to the overall education slate will be selected. Selected speakers will be contacted with further information. No compensation will be given to any speakers. We are looking for volunteer speakers to present and a great way for new speakers to get experience in front of an audience.

Session times will be as follows….

Session 1 – 9:10am – 10:10am

Session 2 – 10:15am – 11:15am

Session 3 – 12:25pm – 1:25pm
